Walter Kubicki was a pilot with 439 Squadron. He was from Hamilton, Ontario, graduated with his wings at Camp Borden in the spring of 1943. He received a commission in May 1943. On December 26, 1944, F/O Kubicki was flying Typhoon MN482. The aircraft was destroyed upon landing at B.78. Kubicki was safe.
He is mentioned in Typhoon and Tempest by Hugh Halliday on pages 80, 92, 102, 161, and 185.
